Dear Contestant,

Thank you for your interest in the Ms. SF Eagle Leather title and joining our family of titleholders. These representatives and the SF Eagle are maintaining a tradition of working together to uphold the Leather ideals of respect, honor and integrity; and to implement those ideals in supporting the Leather/Kink communities in San Francisco and beyond. 

While the only official requirements of Ms. SF Eagle Leather is to compete for the Ms. San Francisco Leather title and produce one fundraising event (or prospect organizations who will produce fundraisers) at the SF Eagle, our expectation is that you will represent the title with dignity and respect throughout your title year. Our hope is that you will continue to be involved in community organizations and events beyond your year as Ms. SF Eagle Leather.

Ms SF Eagle Contest Itinerary 

Event Date: Saturday May 18th, 2024

Meet & Greet: Friday May 17th, 7-9pm

Application Deadline: Wednesday May 15th, 2024

Location: SF Eagle, 398 12th St., San Francisco, CA 94103 

Pre-Judging: 2-4pm (Contestants should arrive by 12:30pm.)

Contest: 5-7pm 

Contest Information 

The contest consists of the four categories listed below, each scored separately. The points in the parenthesis are the total points allocated per category: 

• The Interview (75 points): 

Contestants will be interviewed in private by the judging panel prior to the on stage contest. Contestants are judged on their ability to think on their feet, their knowledge of Leather lifestyle -related issues and history, and how they respond to the questions asked of them.

Attire: Street/Casual Wear 

• On Stage Pop Question (25 points) 

Each contestant will be asked a question to answer on stage. Questions will be submitted by the Contest staff. 

Attire: BDSM/Erotic/Sensual Wear (Whatever you feel makes your body look its best.)  

• Speech and Formal Wear (55 points): 

Contestants will each be given 90 seconds to speak on a topic of their choice related to the Leather/Fetish/Kink community. Contestants will be judged on the delivery of their speech as well as on their formal wear 

Attire: Formal Leather/Kink wear 

• Leather Image (45 points) 

Judges will observe each contestant during the Meet & Greet, the interviews and the stage presentations, and will judge each contestant on their conduct, manner and Leather expression throughout the contest events. 

At the end of each category all contestants will be brought back up on stage together so the judges and audience can get one last look. 

At the Meet & Greet contestants will draw your contestant number and will be briefed by the producer and Emcee(s) about the flow of the contest. Once you arrive to The Eagle for the contest on Saturday you will not be allowed to leave, so bring all your outfits and whatever you want to wear when the contest is over. Once pre-judging begins only contestants, judges and producers may be backstage. We will have a ‘Contestant Coordinator’ to assist you. If you have questions, ask. 

Remember you are presenting your idea of Leather “Image”, there is no right or wrong. What is important is that you be you, and that you have a great time!

CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of California 
• 21 years of age or older 
• Attest that, for six (6) months prior to the contest, been a resident of San Francisco County, CA, or live in a county where a Leather title is not offered. Contestants living in counties where other Leather titles are offered are not eligible to compete.

The Ms SF Eagle Leather contest is accessible to all non-male identifying applicants. If you will need additional assistance to participate in the contest (including but not limited to ASL interpreter, physical assistance for the visually impaired, or wheelchair accommodations), please make a note in the “Additional Comments” portion of the application.

TITLEHOLDER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Throughout the year the titleholder will be expected to represent the SF Eagle bar in a dignified and respectful manner. 
• Host at least one Sunday Beer Bust
• The winner will be entered in the Ms. San Francisco Leather contest or International Ms. Leather Contest and sponsored by the SF Eagle.

Note: Throughout this document the term CONTEST shall mean the Ms. S.F. Eagle contest, the term PRODUCERS shall mean Lex Montiel, Gage Fisher and any other producers and associate producers who may be designated in the future. 

We, as the owner and producers of the contest withhold the right to deny admittance into the aforementioned contest should we determine the applicant, upon inspection through social media and other means, does not reflect upstanding community values or our ideal Ms. SF Eagle candidate. 

PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE AND WAIVER 

I, the undersigned, hereby give the CONTEST and it’s PRODUCERS, their photographers, legal representatives, agents or assigns, the right and permission to copyright, use, reuse, broadcast and/or publish any and all Photographic Pictures of me, which shall be take during the CONTEST or as a result my preparation for the CONTEST, or as a result of my having participated in the CONTEST. That term “Photographic Pictures”, as used herein shall include portraits, or reproductions thereof, including audio and video tapes, made through any media. Further such rights shall include the right to use such Photographic Pictures in conjunction with my name, and through any media, for any purpose whatsoever. I HEREBY WAIVE any right to inspect or approve the finished Photographic Pictures, or the method of their eventual use, including any related audio or printed copy which may be used in conjunction therewithin. I HEREBY RELEASE, discharge and agree to save harmless the CONTEST and its PRODUCERS, their photographers, legal representatives, agents or assigns, including those publishing and/or distributing the finished product, in whole or in part, from and against any liability or claim as a result of the use of publication of said Photographic Pictures, from any distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking, processing or reproduction of the Photographic Pictures, their publication or distribution. I HAVE READ the foregoing Release and Waiver before signing my name below. I warrant my full understanding of its contents, and that I am of legal age to give consent in this state. 

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS 

I certify that I have attained at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and that I, based upon mutual covenants and considerations (including granting me the privilege of attending and participating in the CONTEST) will not hold the PRODUCERS nor the individual and/or collective owners, officers, agents, and employees thereof liable for any injury to my person or property occurring during any period in association with the CONTEST, and I further agree to indemnify and save harmless and hold harmless the PRODUCERS the individual and/or collective owners, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability, injury or economic loss or other damage.
