Dear Contestant,

Thank you for your interest in joining the Mr. SF Eagle titleholders. These representatives and the SF Eagle are maintaining a tradition of working together in order to uphold the leather ideals of respect, honor and integrity; and to implement those ideals in upholding and supporting the leather/kink communities in San Francisco and beyond. 

While the only official requirements of Mr. SF Eagle are to compete for the Mr. San Francisco Leather title and produce one fundraising event (or prospect organizations who will produce fundraisers) at the SF Eagle, our expectation is that you will represent the title with dignity and respect throughout your title year. Our hopes are that you will continue to be involved in community organizations and events beyond your year as Mr. SF Eagle.

Mr. SF Eagle Contest Itinerary 

Event Date: TBD

Meet & Greet: Friday September 20, 2024 from 7-9pm

Application Deadline: Monday September 16, 2024

Location: SF Eagle, 398 12th St., San Francisco, CA 94103 

Pre-Judging: Saturday September 21, 2024 2-4pm (Contestants must arrive by 12:30)

Contest: September 21, 2024 from 6-8pm

Contest Information 

The contest consists of the five categories listed below, each scored separately with a combined score of up to 1000. The points in the parenthesis are the total points allocated per category: 

• The Interview (400 points): 

Each contestant will be interviewed in private by the judging panel prior to the contest. You will be scored on how you answer the questions and your leather image.

Attire: Contestant Choice 

• Contestant Introduction (50 points) 

Each contestant will be brought up on stage individually by the Emcee(s) and introduced to the audience. While the Emcee(s) reads your bio, you can work the stage. You will be judged on your stage presence, comfort on stage and leather image. 

Attire: Casual Leather / Bar Attire 

• Speech (250 points): 

Each contestant will be brought up on stage to deliver a speech to the audience on a subject of your own choosing. Speeches are not to exceed 90 seconds. You will be judged on stage presence, delivery and leather image. Points will be deducted if you go over the 90 second limit. 

Attire: Formal Leather/Kink wear 

• Jockstrap / On Stage Q&A (150 points): 

Each contestant will be brought up on stage and asked a series of questions based on their application. You will be judged on stage presence, leather image, your interests in kink/leather/fetish and how comfortable you are in your own skin. 

Attire: Whatever you feel makes your body look its best (Remember, less is more here) 

• Leather Image (150 points) 

Judges will observe each contestant throughout the evening, during the interviews and at the contest and judge each contestant on their conduct, manner and leather expression during the contest events. As such, this category is usually scored last. (This does not include what is worn during the meet and greet) 

At the end of each category all contestants will be brought back up on stage together so the judges and audience can get one last look. 

At the Meet & Greet contestants will draw your contestant number and will be briefed by the producer and Emcee(s) about the flow of the contest. Once you arrive to The Eagle for the contest on Saturday you will not be allowed to leave, so bring all your outfits and whatever you want to wear when the contest is over. Once pre-judging begins only contestants, judges and producers may be backstage. We will have a ‘Den Daddy’ to assist you. If you have questions, ask. 

Remember you are presenting your idea of Leather “Image”, there is no right or wrong. What is important is that you be you, and that you have a great time!

CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of California 
• 21 years of age or older 
• Attest that, for six (6) months prior to the contest, been a resident of San Francisco County, CA, or live in a county where a Leather title is not offered. Contestants living in counties where other Leather titles are offered are not eligible to compete.

The Mr. SF Eagle Leather contest is accessible to all male identifying applicants. If you will need additional assistance to participate in the contest (including but not limited to ASL interpreter, physical assistance for the visually impaired, or wheelchair accommodations), please make a note in the “Additional Comments” portion of the application.

TITLEHOLDER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Throughout the year the titleholder will be expected to represent the SF Eagle bar in a dignified and respectful manner. 
• Host at least two Sunday Beer Busts
• The winner will be entered in the Mr. San Francisco Leather contest or International Mr. Leather Contest and sponsored by the SF Eagle.

Note: Throughout this document the term CONTEST shall mean the Mr. S.F. Eagle contest, the term PRODUCERS shall mean Lex Montiel, Gage Fisher and any other producers and associate producers who may be designated in the future. 

We, as the owner and producers of the contest withhold the right to deny admittance into the aforementioned contest should we determine the applicant, upon inspection through social media and other means, does not reflect upstanding community values or our ideal Mr. SF Eagle candidate. 

PHOTOGRAPHIC RELEASE AND WAIVER 

I, the undersigned, hereby give the CONTEST and it’s PRODUCERS, their photographers, legal representatives, agents or assigns, the right and permission to copyright, use, reuse, broadcast and/or publish any and all Photographic Pictures of me, which shall be take during the CONTEST or as a result my preparation for the CONTEST, or as a result of my having participated in the CONTEST. That term “Photographic Pictures”, as used herein shall include portraits, or reproductions thereof, including audio and video tapes, made through any media. Further such rights shall include the right to use such Photographic Pictures in conjunction with my name, and through any media, for any purpose whatsoever. I HEREBY WAIVE any right to inspect or approve the finished Photographic Pictures, or the method of their eventual use, including any related audio or printed copy which may be used in conjunction therewithin. I HEREBY RELEASE, discharge and agree to save harmless the CONTEST and its PRODUCERS, their photographers, legal representatives, agents or assigns, including those publishing and/or distributing the finished product, in whole or in part, from and against any liability or claim as a result of the use of publication of said Photographic Pictures, from any distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking, processing or reproduction of the Photographic Pictures, their publication or distribution. I HAVE READ the foregoing Release and Waiver before signing my name below. I warrant my full understanding of its contents, and that I am of legal age to give consent in this state. 

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS 

I certify that I have attained at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and that I, based upon mutual covenants and considerations (including granting me the privilege of attending and participating in the CONTEST) will not hold the PRODUCERS nor the individual and/or collective owners, officers, agents, and employees thereof liable for any injury to my person or property occurring during any period in association with the CONTEST, and I further agree to indemnify and save harmless and hold harmless the PRODUCERS the individual and/or collective owners, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability, injury or economic loss or other damage.
