I could not have asked for a more perfect day on Sunday, February 27. The weather was beautiful and the bar was filled with so many people enjoying themselves. Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone, the beer bust raised a significant amount of money which will help greatly with my expenses related to competing at IML.
I had hoped that after this beer bust, I could stop the request for any financial assistance. But as I will be attending LA Leather Pride in March and Cleveland Leather Annual Weekend in April, I will have expenses related to these events. Therefore, at least for now, I will keep my GoFundme account open, https://gofund.me/cdf45d1e. I will close the account when a significant portion of my expenses are covered from donated funds. And if there is any extra money, it will go to an account to help the next Mr. SF Eagle Leather for his trip to IML.
While I am very appreciative of the funds raised from the event, what touched me most was seeing so many people come to support my message of inclusion of Asians and Pacific Islanders within the leather/kink community. I also want to thank the many people whom I had the opportunity to speak with for their words of encouragement. Regardless of the outcome at IML, what truly matters to me is the trust and honor that the leather/kink community has placed in me to represent its aspirations and values.
I would like to thank:
All the guests
The SF Eagle management and staff
Donors for the raffle prizes: Leather Etc, Mr. S Leathers, SF Eagle, Timothy M.
Ms. SF Eagle Leather 2020 Tammy Hatter, Mo P., Reike M.
Volunteers: Brian Y., David H., Jade, John B., Pepper, Robert A., Tina B., Victor J., Zig W.,
Vocal Performer: Gabriel T.
Food Caterer & assistant from Mama Bear’s Kitchen : Michele H. & Jukie S.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the bar. You can find me there at the BLUFSF nights; the event called HARD is on the second Friday of each month. Also I will be at most of the Sunday Eagle beer busts, and Leather Lounge on the last Saturday of each month. If you have any suggestions on how to make the bar more friendly, inclusive or have ideas for events, I would love to hear them. Feel free to approach me even just to say hello!
Leather Hugs to You!
